Sellers can no longer publish products: “429 Quota exceeded”

Tarfaya Market, a marketplace for crafts and local produce based in Laayoune, publishes its listings in French, Arabic and Spanish. When a seller publishes a product, the Cloud Run service api-catalogue calls the Cloud Translation API to produce the other two languages.

Since 08:00, sellers see “Publishing failed, please try again later”. Nothing has been deployed to api-catalogue for a week. Last night, however, a developer changed the translation sync script that runs on the VM vm-batch-01 so it would “catch up” on old listings.
