At the Tetouan branch, the new order-picking terminals get no IP address
Fez · PC-ADM-FES (head office) → SW-TET-01 (Tetouan branch) · Saïss Pharma Distribution · Tuesday 07:40
Saïss Pharma Distribution, a pharmaceutical wholesale distributor, has its head office in Fez and a branch
with a warehouse in Tetouan. DHCP for the whole group is centralised on SRV-DHCP-01 (Windows Server
2022, 10.10.10.5) at head office; the branch is connected to head office by a routed inter-site link.
Last night, Anas, a technician, prepared the arrival of 20 order-picking terminals (Wi-Fi barcode
scanners and dock workstations): he created VLAN 120 “PREPA” (10.120.0.0/24) on the
branch's layer 3 switch SW-TET-01 (IOS), with its Vlan120 interface, and asked the systems team
to create the 10.120.0.0 scope on SRV-DHCP-01. VLAN 110 for the branch PCs, created last
month, works perfectly.
This morning at 07:00, the picking team starts its shift: no terminal gets an address. Orders for the pharmacies in the North leave at 10:00.
You are a network administrator at head office, on PC-ADM-FES (PowerShell, RSAT DHCP tools installed,
SSH access to the switches). Get the terminals their addresses.
