The milk collection dashboard has shown nothing since midnight

The Coopérative laitière Al Waha (a fictional dairy cooperative) records every collection truck visit with the collecte service (Python application, systemd unit). The monitoring agent reads /var/log/collecte/collecte.log to draw the dashboard of litres collected.

On Friday, Salma added a logrotate rule for this log, which kept growing endlessly. Since the first rotation last night at 00:00, the dashboard has been empty and the alert “no log line for 10 h” has fired. The drivers, for their part, confirm that their visits are being recorded.
