Lesson 5 of 14 · Active Directory and networking
Active Directory: domain, forest, OUs, domain controllers, FSMO roles and sites
Objective
Understand how Active Directory is organized before you install one: the logical building blocks (domain, forest, organizational units), the physical building blocks (domain controllers, sites, replication), the five FSMO roles, and how to name an object. Without these concepts, you build directories that are impossible to evolve.
